After the new version of the "Technical Specification for Safety of Electric Bicycles" officially came into effect in September, it is reported that the first batch of electric bicycles complying with the new national standard has now arrived in stores in Quanzhou. Gao Yingchao, honorary president of the Quanzhou Bicycle and Electric Vehicle Industry Association, revealed that the production process for "new national standard vehicles" is more complex, placing higher demands on producers. "Currently, stores carrying 'new national standard vehicles' are mostly major brands, as many small automakers temporarily fail to meet the production standards of the 'new national standard.' It is expected to take some time before they can be fully implemented."
