[SMM Flash News] 9.971 Billion Yuan: New Progress on EVE's Production Base

On September 26, EVE announced that the company's battery production site in Debrecen, Hungary, welcomed the arrival of mechanical and electrical equipment on September 20, marking the project's full entry into the mechanical and electrical installation and commissioning phase. At the event, Jingmen Municipal Standing Committee Member and Executive Vice Mayor Liu Zhenjun and others witnessed the occasion, while senior management including Senior Vice President Wang Shifeng attended. In June 2024, EVE announced the official launch of the battery production site project in Hungary, with a planned total investment not exceeding 9.971 billion yuan and an annual capacity of 28 GWh. Covering an area of approximately 450,000 m², the project will mainly produce 46-series large cylindrical batteries exclusively for BMW Group's Debrecen plant EV platform. It is expected to be completed and operational by 2026, creating over 1,000 local jobs.
