Xiaomi EV reported another strong month in September, delivering over 40,000 vehicles—a new record for the company's fast-growing electric vehicle business.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Xiaomi EV reported another strong month in September, delivering over 40,000 vehicles—a new record for the company's fast-growing electric vehicle business.

This latest figure represents a significant leap from August, when Xiaomi EV's deliveries topped 30,000 units for the second month in a row, highlighting the brand's accelerating momentum in China's competitive EV market.

Earlier, Xiaomi Founder, Chairman, and CEO Lei Jun unveiled the company's new "Xiaomi Customization Service" during his 2025 annual speech. The program allows customers to personalize their vehicles with high-value configurations exceeding 100,000 yuan, secured by an 80,000-yuan deposit and a 90-day grace period.

The customization program is being trialed for one year, with production limited to 40 customized vehicles per month. It is available for the YU7 Max and SU7 Ultra models, allowing customers to mix and match with existing configuration options.

Mr. Lei noted that while the YU7 debuted with nine standard colors, the first phase of the customization service introduces five new shades—Crystal Purple, Racing Red, Sprout Yellow, Twilight Rose, and Matte Golden Pink. Each color is crafted with premium pigments and advanced paint technologies for a distinctive finish.

He also revealed that Xiaomi EV is partnering with global coating suppliers BASF and PPG to develop 100 exclusive paint colors over the next three years.

Xiaomi EV’s current lineup includes the SU7, SU7 Ultra, and YU7, spanning the pure-electric sedan and SUV segments.

To keep up with surging demand, the company is rapidly scaling up its manufacturing capacity. Its first plant, with an annual capacity of 150,000 vehicles, is operating near full load, while the second facility—also designed for 150,000 units per year—has already started production. A third factory is currently under construction.

On September 29, Xiaomi EV announced that more than 1.5 million charging points have been integrated into its Xiaomi Charging Map, including 120,000 ultra-fast chargers and 1.2 million DC fast-charging piles.

The company also expanded its retail footprint in September with 32 new stores and plans to open another 22 in October, extending its reach to six additional cities—Chenzhou, Dazhou, Ordos, Handan, Leshan, and Xining.
