On September 27, SGMW officially released the Binguo S all-electric SUV to the market.

Beijing (Gasgoo)-On September 27, SAIC-GM-Wuling ("SGMW") officially released the Binguo S all-electric SUV to the market, introducing four variants: the 325 km Premium, 325 km Flagship, 430 km Premium, and 430 km Flagship. The models are priced between 66,800 yuan and 79,800 yuan, with trade-in incentives lowering the price range to 63,800 yuan and 76,800 yuan.

The Binguo S adopts SGMW's "Flowing Light Aesthetics" design, featuring streamlined contours and refined detailing. Partnering with global coatings leader BASF, SGMW developed an eight-layer iridescent paint finish enhanced by 2K clear coat technology.

Measuring 4,265 × 1,785 × 1,600 mm, the Binguo S provides a spacious cabin with ample width for greater comfort. Its 1,450-liter trunk can easily accommodate large suitcases, strollers, or pet furniture, while the recessed floor increases vertical storage capacity and makes loading and unloading easier—particularly convenient for female drivers.

All trims come standard with LED headlamps and daytime running lights in an L-shaped "light wing" design. At the rear, red-through taillights with a suspended pulse effect are framed in smoked black.

Inside, the cabin follows a "Tranquil Luxury" design philosophy, combining minimalist lines with premium detailing. Two color themes—Warm Brown and Soft White—are available. The 8.88-inch digital instrument cluster resists glare and reflection, while the 12.8-inch 2K HD touchscreen delivers sharp visuals and fluid responsiveness with INCELL touch technology. Ergonomic seats feature dual-density foam for enhanced comfort and refined tactile finish.

The Binguo S is equipped with SGMW's latest "1+N" Ling OS AI platform, deeply integrated with DeepSeek. It supports advanced human-machine interaction, a smart voice assistant, and an open ecosystem. The voice assistant boasts 95% recognition accuracy across major Chinese dialects. The six-speaker sound system is finely tuned for balance and immersion.

To improve cabin quietness, the vehicle applies 33 targeted noise-reduction measures, including large-area insulation mats and reinforced soundproofing in key zones such as the engine bay and wheel arches. This comprehensive system minimizes engine, tire, and wind noise for a serene ride.

Standard features of the model include ESC (electronic stability control) and Autohold. Power comes from a 75 kW motor with two range options—325 km and 430 km. Energy efficiency is rated as low as 10.4 kWh per 100 km, and fast charging from 30% to 80% of its battery capacity takes just 35 minutes

In the competitive landscape, the Binguo S will rival models such as Geely's Xingyuan, currently the best-selling small car in the segment in China.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
