Rare earth magnet manufacturer JS Link America announced on Thursday that it will invest approximately $223 million to establish a new production facility in Columbus, Georgia. The company is a subsidiary of JS Link, a biotechnology firm headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. A similar permanent magnet facility in Yesan, South Korea, is nearing completion and is expected to commence trial production in September, with an annual capacity of 1,000 mt. JS Link's new manufacturing plant will be located in the Muscogee Technology Park. The facility, covering 130,000 square feet, is projected to have an annual capacity of 3,000 mt.
