Neo Material's rare earth magnet plant in Estonia officially commenced operations. The project, with an investment of $75 million, is Europe's first facility for large-scale production of rare earth magnets for the automotive and wind energy industries. According to media reports, the plant began production last Friday (September 19), with a target annual capacity of 2,000 mt. The company stated that this is sufficient to meet the demand for over 1 million EVs or more than 1,000 offshore wind turbines. The magnet plant is adjacent to Neo's rare earth separation facility in Estonia.
