[South Korea's Second All-Solid-State Battery Line Operational]
This Tuesday, South Korea's third-largest battery manufacturer, SK On, announced the formal completion of its all-solid-state battery production line in Daejeon. This development signifies that SK On has transitioned from the lab R&D phase to the customer verification phase, further intensifying the global race for the commercialization of all-solid-state batteries. With the line operational, SK On has moved its commercialization target up from 2030 to 2029, proposing initial energy density goals of 800Wh/L, with a long-term target of reaching 1000Wh/L.
