[15,000-Ton High-End Fluorine-Containing New Materials Project Approved]

Recently, the Binhai Branch of the Weifang Ecological Environment Bureau approved and publicized the environmental impact report for the (Phase I) - High-end New Materials component of the Shandong Lingkai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. 15,000-ton/year High-end New Materials and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (including pharmaceutical intermediates) Green Production Base Project. Project details: Upon full completion and reaching capacity, the project will achieve an annual production capacity of 2,000 tons of sulfuryl fluoride, 1,100 tons of lithium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide solid, 11,000 tons of lithium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide 30% solution. By-products include 2,000 tons of ammonium fluoride and 14,000 tons of hydrochloric acid.

[India Domestic] India’s domestic steel market saw mixed price movements on a daily basis with finished steel and semi-finished steel prices moved lower. Alang Melting scrap prices rose by 3.16USD/tonne (300INR/tonne) to 386.83USD/tonne (36,700INR/tonne) ex-yard Alang. 8Ani (12mm) prices unchanged at 443.75USD/tonne (42,100INR/tonne) ex-yard Alang. PDRI sponge iron prices down by 3.16USD/tonne (300INR/tonne) to 313.05USD/tonne (29,700INR/tonne) EXW Bellary. PDRI sponge iron prices down by 2.11USD/tonne (200INR/tonne) to 310.94USD/tonne (29,500INR/tonne) EXW Raipur. Rebar up by 1.05USD/tonne (100INR/tonne) to 525.96USD/tonne (49,900INR/tonne) EXW Mumbai. Raipur rebar down by 5.27USD/tonne (500INR/tonne) to 470.10USD/tonne (44,600INR/tonne) EXW Raipur. Raipur billet down by 4.22USD/tonne (400INR/tonne) to 442.70USD/tonne (42,000INR/tonne) EXW Raipur. India’s Industrial Growth Slows to 6.7% in July, but Steel Demand Remains Supported
India’s industrial activity continued to grow in July 2026, with the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) rising 6.7% YoY, compared with 8.8% in June. Although growth slowed, July recorded the second-highest IIP growth since December 2025, showing that industrial activity remained relatively strong. For the domestic steel market, manufacturing, capital goods and infrastructure remain important areas to watch as they are key drivers of steel demand.
