Beijing (Gasgoo)- On Sept. 26, automotive computing solution supplier Black Sesame Technologies signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Chery Commercial Vehicle and China Pacific Property Insurance Co., Ltd. (CPPIC). The three parties will jointly explore a "technology + insurance" innovation model, aiming to link advanced driver assistance technologies with insurance underwriting to reduce risk and provide premium benefits for new energy commercial vehicles

Under the plan, the partners will build an integrated service framework covering technical support, offline management, and online data analysis. Black Sesame Technologies will supply its PA2.0 commercial vehicle active safety system across Chery's Karry new energy vehicle lineup. The PA2.0 system is the first domain controller solution in the commercial vehicle sector to integrate AEBS, ADAS, BSD, and DMS functions into one modular platform, powered by Black Sesame Technologies' Huashan A1000 chip. It offers high reliability, low latency, and strong scalability.

Field data indicates that vehicles equipped with the system can reduce accident rates by over 70% and major accidents by more than 80%. Black Sesame Technologies will also provide full-cycle technical services, including supply, calibration, installation, warranty, and platform operation.

Chery Commercial Vehicle will coordinate offline management through its mature channel network, while CPPIC will use its digital analytics to better assess risks and optimize insurance services. The cooperation will begin with pilot projects in at least three provincial-level regions before scaling nationwide.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
