Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On September 26, Li Auto announced the Li i6 five-seat mid-to-large all-electric SUV went on sale, priced at 249,800 yuan.

The model follows the brand's i-series design language and will begin customer deliveries on September 27, with display and test-drive vehicles already available in showrooms.

All versions of the i6 come standard with an 87.3 kWh 5C ultra-fast-charging battery, an aluminum suspension system, CDC adaptive damping, Li Auto's AD Max driver-assistance suite, and the brand's intelligent cockpit.

Design-wise, the Li i6 adopts Li Auto's familiar styling for BEV models, featuring a short front overhang, forward-stretched A-pillars, and a new 3D "star-ring" lighting signature that gives the SUV its distinctive shark-like front fascia. The split headlamp arrangement places the main lights low in the bumper, while intake-like elements flank the center section. A roof-mounted LiDAR unit underscores the model's focus on advanced driver-assistance capabilities.

From the side, the SUV emphasizes aerodynamics with a streamlined, shark-inspired profile. Its long wheelbase and short overhangs not only improve cabin space—providing more than 3.3 meters of longitudinal room—but also contribute to greater maneuverability.

At the rear, the Li i6 carries Li Auto's signature styling elements, including a full-width light bar and a subtle roof spoiler. The vehicle measures 4,950 mm long, 1,935 mm wide, and 1,655 mm high, with a 3,000 mm wheelbase.

Buyers can choose from five exterior colors—Pearl White, Alien Silver, Black Warrior, Little Grey Shark, and Cloud Yellow. Every model also includes a standard front trunk.

Inside, the Li i6 echoes the layout of the larger i8. Customers can select from three interior color themes: white, gray-brown, or orange. The cabin features a dual-screen setup for the central and passenger displays, while the driver receives key information via a head-up display. A wide storage compartment spans the center console, complemented by a wireless charging pad for smartphones.

Rear passengers benefit from a 21.4-inch 3K fold-down display mounted on the ceiling. Variants without the screen are equipped with a panoramic sunroof and an electric sunshade. The back row also includes a large center armrest, dedicated headrests, and even a footrest behind the front passenger seat when it is moved forward. A dual-function refrigerator, offering both cooling and warming, is integrated into the rear center console.

Built on an 800V high-voltage platform, the Li i6 employs in-house developed silicon carbide motors. The all-wheel-drive version combines a 150 kW front motor with a 250 kW rear motor, while the rear-wheel-drive variant uses a single 250 kW unit. Its 87.3 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery supports ultra-fast 5C charging, enabling an additional 500 km of range in just 10 minutes. Driving range varies by configuration, with options rated at 660 km, 710 km, or 720 km.

The suspension setup includes a front double-wishbone and rear five-link arrangement with aluminum control arms. Buyers can also opt for a dual-chamber air suspension system, offering two stiffness levels and four height settings for improved comfort and handling.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
