With its simultaneous rollout across five countries, XPENG is signaling a new phase of systematic growth in Europe.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- XPENG is stepping up its European expansion, making its debut in Switzerland recently through a newly signed partnership with leading mobility provider Hedin Group, according to a press release the company issued via its WeChat account on Sept. 26.

The company plans to launch the 2025 G6 and G9 models in the Swiss market, followed by the P7+ in the first half of 2026.

The sales rollout will begin with Hedin's existing retail location in Dietlikon, near Zurich, which will serve as the anchor for a nationwide distribution network. By the end of 2025, the partners aim to open eight to ten sales outlets across Switzerland, expanding to as many as 30 by the end of 2026. At the same time, Hedin's seven existing facilities will be upgraded into XPENG-branded sales and service centers.

Alongside its Swiss launch, XPENG confirmed plans to enter Austria in October 2025, further cementing its Central European strategy. The company will replicate its proven dealership model from Germany, initially establishing outlets in Vienna, Salzburg, Graz, and Klagenfurt. The Austrian network is set to grow to ten locations by the end of 2025 and double again to 20 by 2026.

Markus Schrick, head of XPENG's Central European operations, said the company's strategy of working with seasoned local partners has already delivered tangible results in Germany, where its dealer network has grown to 35 outlets. He added that XPENG aims to replicate this model in Austria and other new markets, leveraging local expertise to drive sustainable and high-quality growth.

Beyond Central Europe, XPENG is also pushing into Hungary, Slovenia, and Croatia, widening its footprint into Southeastern Europe. Operations in the three countries will be handled by a joint venture between AutoWallis Group and Salvador Caetano Group. The tie-up will enable XPENG to tap into established local networks and provide integrated services spanning sales, delivery, and aftersales support.

To strengthen engagement with European consumers, XPENG will launch temporary pop-up stores this autumn in Budapest, Ljubljana, and Zagreb. These locations will spotlight the company's flagship models, including the 2025 G6 and G9, offering immersive experiences designed to build awareness and emotional resonance with the brand.

With its simultaneous rollout across five countries, XPENG is signaling a new phase of systematic growth in Europe. The strategy underscores not only rapid channel expansion but also the company's efforts to integrate product development, brand building, and localized operations into a coordinated push.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
