The U.S.-based Smackover Lithium joint venture announced today the inaugural inferred mineral resource assessment for its Franklin Project in northeastern Texas, revealing substantial lithium reserves and development potential in the region .
The joint venture, formed by Standard Lithium and Norway's state-owned petroleum company Equinor, reported a lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE) of 2.159 million metric tonnes, alongside 15.414 million tonnes of potash and 2.638 million tonnes of bromide .
