Beijing (Gasgoo)- On Sept. 23, Huawei's smart car alliance, Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA), introduced two new models at its autumn product launch: the all-new AITO M7 and the SAIC Shangjie H5, a new product jointly developed by SAIC Motor and Huawei.

Shangjie H5

The Shangjie H5 is positioned as a B-segment SUV and offered in six variants with both battery-electric vehicle (BEV) and range-extended electric vehicle (REEV) options, priced from 159,800 yuan–199,800 yuan.

It comes standard with the HarmonySpace smart cockpit, while higher trims feature LiDAR and Huawei ADS 4 driver assistance. REEV versions deliver up to 1,360 km combined range, while BEVs offer up to 655 km CLTC-rated range.

The SUV measures 4,780/1,910/1,657 mm with a 2,840 mm wheelbase. The interior includes a dual-tone design, floating central screen, full LCD instrument panel, and Huawei MagLink interface for rear-seat device expansion.

New AITO M7

The updated AITO M7 is available in 12 variants covering BEV and REEV setups, with 5- and 6-seat layouts, priced from 279,800 yuan–379,800 yuan. It adopts AITO's latest design language, aligning closely with the M8. Dimensions are 5,080/1,999/1,780 mm with a 3,030 mm wheelbase.

Inside, the new M7 features three integrated displays, an embedded passenger entertainment screen, AR-HUD, and HUAWEI SOUND audio. Key amenities include zero-gravity driver's seat, rear entertainment system, in-car refrigerator, streaming rearview mirror, and dual wireless chargers.

For driver assistance, the new M7 is equipped with Huawei ADS 4, using 30 sensors including multiple LiDAR sensors, radars, and cameras for 360° perception. Mid-range trims debut an in-cabin laser sensing setup, enhancing obstacle detection in complex conditions.

The new AITO M7 REEV variants offer a battery-powered range of 315 km under CLTC conditions, and a combined range of 1,625 km. Meanwhile, the BEV variants come with 660 km and 710 km range options.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
