Beijing (Gasgoo)- On Sept. 23, Ford China announced the establishment of Ford Sales and Service (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary responsible for managing the marketing, sales, and aftersales services of Ford passenger vehicles and pickups in the Chinese market. The move consolidates Ford's sales and service network in China under a unified structure.

Mr. Chen Xiaobo has been appointed President of the new company, reporting to Mr. Wu Shengbo, President and CEO of Ford China and Ford International Markets Group. Mr. Chen previously held senior sales and marketing roles at Changan Ford and Renault China.

Ford said the new entity reflects its long-term commitment to building a vibrant and sustainable retail and service network in China. It is also part of Ford's global brand strategy upgrade. In China, Ford aims to enhance user experiences through an expanded product portfolio, outdoor lifestyle branding, and stronger service integration.

The new structure will launch more new energy products, including the recently debuted Ford Bronco New Energy model at the Chengdu Auto Show, and deliver a more seamless one-stop sales and service experience. Ford added that the network will also develop the "Ford Zongheng" lifestyle ecosystem, encompassing experience centers, outdoor communities, customization, and vehicle services, to promote an adventurous lifestyle for Chinese consumers.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
