According to data from the General Administration of Customs online query platform, China's imports of copper ores and concentrates reached 2.76 million mt in August, up 7.78% MoM and up 7.45% YoY. Among them, the largest supplier, Chile, saw its shipments surge by nearly 30% to 958,700 mt, while shipments from Peru slightly declined. Shipments from other major suppliers such as Mongolia, Mexico, and Russia also increased to varying degrees. Currently, spot TCs for copper concentrates in the domestic market remain low with no significant rebound, and the tight supply of ore continues.
