China has established the world's largest carbon emissions trading market in terms of covered greenhouse gas emissions, effectively regulating over 60% of the country's carbon dioxide emissions. The national voluntary greenhouse gas emission reduction trading market has been launched. As of September 18, 2025, the cumulative trading volume of allowances in the national carbon emissions trading market reached 714 million mt, with a cumulative trading value of 48.961 billion yuan.
