Ivanhoe Mines Launches Phase II Dewatering at Kakula, Delays Copper Production Guidance

【SMM Copper News】Ivanhoe Mines announced that it has initiated the second phase of its dewatering plan for the Kakula mine and will defer its copper production guidance for the next two years until progress is made. In a press release, the company stated that three of the four high-capacity submersible pumps for the second phase have recently been installed and put into use as planned, adding that the groundwater level at the Kakula mine has dropped by approximately 10 meters from a potential depth of 80 meters.
