[SMM New Energy News Flash] Hinckley E-Waste Recycling Limited, Nigeria’s first government-approved e-waste recycler, has secured a US$1.5 million equity investment from All On, an impact investment firm backed by Shell. The funding will establish Nigeria’s first lithium-ion battery recycling and reuse facility, alongside a lead-acid battery recycling plant. This initiative aims to tackle Nigeria’s growing e-waste challenge while supporting sustainable solar battery supply chains, lowering costs, and creating jobs. All On CEO Caroline Eboumbou emphasized that the investment builds a cleaner and more resilient energy ecosystem, while Hinckley CEO Adrian Clews highlighted the project’s role in formalizing e-waste collection and safeguarding public health.
