[MIIT: Continuous Quality Supervision and Inspection of Lithium Batteries, Strengthening Disposal Measures for Non-Compliant Enterprises] On September 19, the 2025 Suining International Lithium Battery Industry Conference was held. Wu Guogang, Second-Level Inspector of the Electronic Information Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, stated in his speech that the next step will be to strengthen the safety baseline and promote the healthy development of the lithium battery industry. Efforts will be made to enhance the implementation of relevant standards for lithium batteries, improve the safety levels in production, usage, and disposal of lithium batteries, establish a safety grading evaluation technical system for lithium battery products based on mandatory national standards, and create a recommended catalog for ESS battery products. This will elevate the safety standards of products and the industry, continuously conduct quality supervision and inspections of lithium batteries, intensify disposal measures for non-compliant enterprises, and drive improvements in the performance and quality of lithium battery products.
