Tianyong Engineering announced a strategic partnership with domestic full-stack humanoid robotics company PNDBotics through its majority-owned subsidiary.

Beijing (Gasgoo)–On September 16, China's automation equipment supplier Tianyong Engineering announced a strategic partnership with domestic full-stack humanoid robotics company PNDBotics through its majority-owned subsidiary, aiming to advance large-scale applications of humanoid robots in China.

Under the agreement, Tianyong Engineering will integrate PNDBotics' self-developed humanoid robot Adam into core automotive production processes, including parts assembly, handling, testing, commissioning, and hazardous task substitution. The move is intended to enhance manufacturing efficiency, process precision, and workplace safety.

Leveraging its years of expertise in non-standard automation and intelligent manufacturing equipment, Tianyong Engineering will also support PNDBotics in designing, building, and delivering humanoid robot production lines, and assist in establishing local manufacturing facilities to bridge the gap from prototype development to mass production.

In addition, Tianyong Engineering will provide full-lifecycle services for PNDBotics products through its Robot Management System (RMS), covering maintenance, upgrades, refurbishment, second-hand recovery and circulation, as well as data collection and predictive maintenance—essentially functioning as a "4S shop" for robots.

Adam, PNDBotics' full-scale humanoid robot, stands 1.67 meters tall and weighs 60–62 kilograms. The Adam Lite version features 25 degrees of freedom, while the Adam SP offers 41–43. The robot previously won the martial arts final at the World Humanoid Robot Games with its outstanding performance.

The Adam series incorporates several innovations, including a pioneering V-shaped hip structure that expands joint movement while mitigating the effects of shoulder-to-hip width differences. This improves whole-body motion control, reduces motor wear, and lowers operating costs. Its three-degree-of-freedom waist design enables both torso rotation and forward bending, expanding operational versatility and task range.

Beyond humanoid robots, PNDBotics has developed a diverse product portfolio across the robotics value chain, including actuators, controllers, robot bodies, and related light services. It has independently developed key components such as high-performance quasi-direct-drive actuators (PSA), robot control units (RCU), and battery management systems (BMS).

Founded in 2023, PNDBotics focuses on developing mass-producible robots and building an ecosystem platform. Its core team consists of veterans from leading universities and top-tier technology companies worldwide.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
