【SMM Aluminium Flash News】 According to reports, Shibaura Machine Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Shibaura Machine") announced that it is developing and manufacturing an ultra-large die-casting machine with a clamping force of 12,000 mt for South Korea-listed enterprise SEOJIN SYSTEM CO., LTD. In Q2 of this year, Shibaura Machine officially confirmed that it had received an order from SEOJIN SYSTEM's Vietnam plant to supply two ultra-large die-casting equipment models, DC12000GS, suitable for integrated die-casting technology.
According to Shibaura Machine, this 12,000 mt-class die-casting machine is not only one of the largest die-casting equipment in Japan but also boasts impressive specifications: a width of 27 meters, a length of 9 meters, a height of approximately 9 meters, and a total weight of up to 1,100 mt. Additionally, to further enrich its product lineup, Shibaura Machine plans to launch a series of new models with clamping forces ranging from 6,000 to 9,000 mt.
The DC12000GS enables the integrated molding of larger-sized aluminum alloy parts, significantly improving production efficiency. The equipment is expected to be used for manufacturing various important auto parts, including large battery shells and auto body chassis. This marks an important step for Shibaura Machine in promoting the development of manufacturing to a higher level.
