Beijing (Gasgoo)- On Sept. 18, Joyson Electronics introduced a suite of new robotic products, including an AI head assembly, a domain controller powered by NVIDIA's Jetson Thor chip, and next-generation energy management solutions. The launch reflects the company's new positioning as a "Tier-1 supplier for both automotive and robotics," targeting key industry pain points of limited computing power, high costs, and narrow application scenarios.

The AI head assembly integrates a flexible display, microphone array, depth camera, and motion control into an integrated compact design. Supported by AI large models, it enables multimodal interaction while maintaining a lightweight, stable, and aesthetic structure. Joyson Electronics co-released the head assembly with Chinese robotics developer AgiBot, extending their strategic partnership on intelligent robot "brains," core components, and validation platforms.

On the other hand, the new Jetson Thor-powered domain controller achieves 2,070 TOPS of AI performance—7.5 times the previous Orin platform—through a 14-core high-performance CPU, delivering 3.1 times the performance, enabling real-time inference for large-scale models.

At the unveiling event, Joyson Electronics announced a partnership with Swiss robotics firm RIVR. The company will provide RIVR with customized controllers and energy systems to support its logistics robot deployment in North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

Additionally, Joyson Electronics launched high-density embedded and backpack-style battery packs with >280 Wh/kg energy density and a wireless charging solution. The batteries support 36A continuous discharge and can charge from 0% to 80% in 10 minutes, with a cycle life exceeding 1,000 cycles. The versatile forms make the battery packs suitable for robotic dogs, wheeled humanoid robots, and bipedal humanoid robots.
