China's Home Appliance Production and Exports

In August 2025, China's air conditioner production reached 16.819 million units, up 12.3% YoY; cumulative production from January to August totaled 199.646 million units, up 5.8% YoY.

National refrigerator production in August was 9.453 million units, up 2.5% YoY; cumulative production from January to August reached 70.189 million units, up 1.9% YoY.

National washing machine production in August was 10.132 million units, down 1.6% YoY; cumulative production from January to August reached 78.263 million units, up 7.8% YoY.

National color TV production in August was 18.016 million units, down 3.2% YoY; cumulative production from January to August reached 125.821 million units, down 5.1% YoY.

In August 2025, China exported 2.89 million air conditioners, down 22.4% YoY; cumulative exports from January to August totaled 47.78 million units, up 2.0% YoY.

Refrigerator exports in August were 7.21 million units, down 1.4% YoY; cumulative exports from January to August reached 54.86 million units, up 1.5% YoY.

Washing machine exports in August were 3.28 million units, up 11.2% YoY; cumulative exports from January to August reached 23.03 million units, up 6.1% YoY.

LCD TV exports in August were 10.73 million units, up 0.9% YoY; cumulative exports from January to August reached 69 million units, down 2.0% YoY.
