Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chinese intelligent equipment company Miracle Automation Engineering Co., Ltd. ("Miracle Automation") announced on Sept.16 it signed an agreement with the College of Biomedical Engineering and Instrument Science of Zhejiang University to establish a joint laboratory for embodied intelligence.

The new lab will focus on dexterous robotic arm operation research, developing a "cerebellum–cerebrum" collaborative control framework, and advancing core technologies such as multimodal perception, task generalization, and real-time fine manipulation.

Under the agreement, the two parties will carry out a three-year joint R&D program aimed at addressing industrial needs. Leveraging Zhejiang University's research strengths and Miracle Automation's manufacturing resources, the lab will target breakthroughs in multimodal industrial data acquisition, large-model pre-training and application, and skill learning for dexterous robots.

Miracle Automation said the initiative is designed to overcome technical bottlenecks in embodied intelligence robot development and deployment, accelerating innovation and industrial adoption. In recent years, the company has built a strategic presence across robot R&D and manufacturing, application solutions, data acquisition and training, and data asset operations, fostering a closed-loop ecosystem spanning "scenario–data–model–application."

To date, Miracle Automation has delivered embodied intelligence robot solutions to nearly 20 clients, with applications across automotive manufacturing, auto parts, lithium batteries, and 3C product manufacturing.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
