Beijing (Gasgoo)- On Sept. 15, BYD's Ocean network saw the 2026 Seal 07 DM-I go on sale, priced from 149,800 yuan to 186,800 yuan. The refreshed model brings exterior, features and powertrain upgrades.

The new Seal 07 DM-i adopts a closed upper grille and integrated headlamps for a cleaner look. It measures 4,995 mm long and 1,900 mm wide with a 2,900 mm wheelbase, offering more space than before.

Inside, the new Seal 07 DM-i adds a column-mounted electronic shifter and reworks physical keys on the center console. Seats feature 10-layer structures with electric adjustment and lumbar support for both front occupants, while rear-seat ventilation and heating stand out in its class. Premium features such as a 12-speaker Dynaudio system and a 4.5-liter dual-mode (cooling & heating) storage box further enhance cabin comfort.

The new model runs BYD's upgraded DiLink100 operating system with a 15.6-inch touchscreen, voice interaction supported by the DeepSeek large model, and full smartphone integration. All trims include sentry mode, remote camera monitoring, and NFC digital car keys.

The new Seal 07 DM-i comes standard with BYD's God's Eye C smart driving system (DiPilot 100 with a tri-camera suite). Meanwhile new variants with God's Eye B (LiDAR-sensing DiPilot 300) add functions such as urban NOA (navigation on autopilot). BYD says it will underwrite parking-assist safety claims on all God's Eye-powered vehicles with no cap or first-owner limit.

Power-wise, except the base 1.5L version, all new Seal 07 DM-i variants use a 1.5T plug-in hybrid electric system, with battery-powered ranges of 135 km or 230 km, and a combined range of up to 1,585 km. The new model rides on MacPherson/five-link suspension with DiSus-C adaptive damping system, offering a minimum turning radius of 5.6 m.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
