Chilean Cobalt Corp. has announced that it has finalized a definitive agreement with Cobalt Chile, a subsidiary of Fuerte Metals, to acquire mining rights covering 3,742 hectares in the San Juan district. The acquisition includes the El Cofre copper-cobalt-gold project and additional claims in the La Cobaltera project area, increasing the company's total mining concessions in the region from 2,635 hectares to 6,377 hectares. The newly acquired claims are adjacent to existing projects and contain rich copper-cobalt veins and historic mine sites, supported by excellent infrastructure including roads, power, and proximity to the Port of Huasco. The El Cofre project extends 25 kilometers along the Atacama Fault Zone and features multiple drill-ready targets. The transaction was completed through the issuance of 4.5 million common shares of Chilean Cobalt and reimbursement of annual patent payments. Chilean Cobalt plans to commence a new phase of exploration in the second half of 2025 to further advance resource development in the mining district.
