Beijing (Gasgoo)- On Sept. 11, Horizon Robotics signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Hello Inc. ("Hello"), a Chinese mobility services company backed by Alibaba, to jointly develop core technologies for Robotaxi operations. The two sides aim to build products that deliver low cost, high safety, high reliability, and high availability, accelerating the commercialization of autonomous ride-hailing services.

The partnership marks a key step in Horizon Robotics' global strategy and underscores its commitment to empowering L2–L4 autonomous driving across all scenarios.

Under the agreement, the partners will collaborate on an L4 full-stack autonomous driving solution, including software algorithms, automotive-grade domain controllers, and supporting hardware, with end-to-end system integration and mass-production validation. The solution will serve as the core hardware and software platform for Hello's future Robotaxi fleet.

Horizon Robotics brings extensive mass-production experience and a full-stack portfolio of hardware and software. Its Journey 6P platform delivers 560 TOPS of computing power, scalable to over 1,000 TOPS via modular design, supporting multi-sensor fusion and large-model applications. On the software side, the company's HSD urban intelligent driving system, built on an end-to-end architecture, provides human-like driving experiences. The combination of Journey 6P and HSD enables hardware-software co-optimization, balancing high computational redundancy with streamlined system design to reduce integration costs and development cycles.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
