[Lead-Acid Battery Import and Export Information] In late August 2025, Shekou Customs seized 26.5 mt of undeclared dangerous goods, lead-acid batteries, in the freight export channel. Lead-acid batteries are classified as Class 8 dangerous goods with the United Nations number UN 2794. According to the relevant provisions of the Customs Law of the People's Republic of China, the consignee for imported goods and the consignor for exported goods shall truthfully declare to customs and submit import and export licenses and relevant documents.
