Beijing (Gasgoo)- On Sept. 10, WEY, the premium brand under Great Wall Motor (GWM), kicked off presales for its Gaoshan 7 MPV. Aimed at family consumers, the model is priced at 289,800 yuan in presale, targeting China's sub-300,000-yuan MPV market.
At the same time, WEY also introduced the Gaoshan 7 Welfare Edition, designed for special mobility needs at 349,800 yuan.
The Gaoshan 7 measures 5,050 mm in length with a 3,085 mm wheelbase, and is positioned as an easily maneuverable MPV, offering a minimum turning radius of just 5.6 meters. Its "Agile Steering" function enables easy U-turns even in narrow alleys.
The model is equipped with LiDAR as standard, featuring the Coffee Pilot Ultra intelligent driving system with parking spot-to-parking spot autopilot capability. According to WEY, the Gaoshan 7 recognizes more than 200 parking scenarios with a 96% success rate, addressing the common parking challenges of larger vehicles.
Powered by the Hi4 Performance intelligent hybrid AWD system, the Gaoshan 7 delivers a maximum output of 337 kW and peak torque of 644 N·m, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds. An all-aluminum suspension reduces unsprung weight while improving ride comfort and corrosion resistance.
Regarding safety, the Gaoshan 7 adopts a triple high-strength cage body with 81.96% high-strength steel, including 2,000 MPa A- and B-pillars. A 3,107 mm side curtain airbag with six-second pressure retention provides added protection for all three rows.
