Beijing (Gasgoo)- On Sept. 9, TRUNK, a provider of L4 autonomous truck and intelligent transport solutions, announced it has raised hundreds of millions of yuan in a strategic financing round.

Investors include Beijing Shunyi Advanced Manufacturing Fund, SDIC Chuangyi, Yulin Coal Conversion Fund, Xuzhou Industrial Development Fund, CIB Wealth Management, and Hefei Feidong Industrial Investment. Beyond capital, the round brings valuable industrial resources to strengthen TRUNK's development in autonomous driving and global commercialization.Using autonomous trucks as the core carrier, TRUNK validates reliability in fully unmanned port operations before expanding to highway trunk routes and urban distribution, thereby creating a closed-loop ecosystem from hubs to trunk lines to last-mile delivery.

To date, TRUNK has delivered and operated nearly 1,000 intelligent trucks and transport solutions, with total transportation distance approaching 100 million kilometers. It has partnered with dozens of major seaports, river ports, and land hubs, while working with leading logistics firms to operate autonomous trucking on key corridors in China. International projects are also underway in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and South America.

The company's technology roadmap spans from AiTrucker, an L4 general-purpose autonomous driving system, to Trunk CAFC, an intelligent platooning solution enabling "one lead truck with assisted driving + multiple unmanned follower trucks." Together, these solutions support scalable, multi-scenario intelligent freight networks for the global supply chain.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
