India's total iron ore exports dropped to a three-year low

In August 2025, India's total iron ore exports reached 830,000 mt, comprising 670,000 mt of fines/lumps and 170,000 mt of pellets. Exports dropped to a three-year low due to weak Chinese demand and supply pressure in the domestic iron ore market. China remained the largest importer with 540,000 mt, followed by Malaysia at 120,000 mt.
