Announcement on Baosteel's Domestic Futures Selling Price Adjustment for Sheets & Plates in October 2025

After thorough research and deliberation, Baosteel has decided to adjust its domestic sales prices for October 2025 based on September 2025 levels. The announcement is as follows (all prices below are exclusive of tax unless otherwise specified):

　　I. Hot Rolling

　　Base price remains unchanged.

　　II. Thick Plate

　　Base price remains unchanged.

　　III. Pickling

　　Base price remains unchanged.

　　IV. Cold Rolling (General)

　　Base price remains unchanged.

　　V. Hot-Dip Galvanizing

　　Base price remains unchanged.

　　VI. Electrogalvanizing

　　Base price remains unchanged.

　　VII. Chalco Zn-Al-Mg

　　Base price remains unchanged.

        VIII. High-Al Zn-Al-Mg

　　Base price remains unchanged.

　　IX. Aluminized Zinc

　　Base price remains unchanged.

　　X. Color Coating

　　Base price remains unchanged.

　　XI. Non-Oriented Silicon Steel

　　Base price remains unchanged.

　　XII. Grain-Oriented Silicon Steel

　　Base price remains unchanged.

　　XIII. Seamless Pipe

　　Base price remains unchanged.

　　XIV. Welded Pipe

　　Base price remains unchanged.

　　XV. Wire Rod

　　Base price remains unchanged.

　　XVI. Bar Steel

　　Base price remains unchanged.

　　XVII. For alloy surcharges and coating/galvanizing surcharge adjustments, please refer to the October 2025 price list.

　　XVIII. This price adjustment notice shall take effect from the date of issuance.

　　XIX. The Marketing Center of Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. (Baosteel International) reserves the final right to interpret this price adjustment notice.

This week, ferrous metals were in the doldrums, with coking coal and coke staging a mid-week rise. At the beginning of the week, financial markets experienced sharp fluctuations, dragging down sentiment in the ferrous chain and leading to a pullback in futures. Mid-week, Indonesia's cut to coke production quotas drove coking coal and coke futures to lead the gains, though the impact was more pronounced on thermal coal, while coking coal's rise was largely sentiment-driven and short-lived. In the latter part of the week, finished products continued their seasonal inventory buildup, and support from the raw material side weakened, causing the entire ferrous chain to pull back. In the spot market, with the Chinese New Year holiday approaching, purchasing activity slowed down further, with end-users only making limited, as-needed purchases at low prices.
