The Kyrgyz government extended the ban on metal scrap exports for another six months on September 4, which will take effect on the 14th.
The Kyrgyz government initially imposed a ban in January 2023 on the export of ferrous metals scrap and waste outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union, and the ban has been repeatedly extended since then. The last extension occurred in March 2025 for a six-month period.
