Autonomous trucking company KargoBot.ai and SuperPanther, a new energy heavy-duty truck maker, recently entered into a strategic partnership.

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Autonomous trucking company KargoBot.ai and SuperPanther, a new energy heavy-duty truck maker, recently entered into a strategic partnership to co-develop L4 fully redundant autonomous vehicles, according to KargoBot.ai's WeChat announcement on Sept.5.

The collaboration will target bulk commodity trunk logistics, offering an integrated autonomous driving and powertrain solution to accelerate the green, efficient, and intelligent transformation of conventional freight transport, with expanded L4 autonomous driving operations in Northwest China.

SuperPanther specializes in the R&D, manufacturing, and overseas expansion of new energy commercial vehicles. With full-stack in-house capabilities across 800V high-voltage platforms, skateboard chassis, and other core components, the company has built a comprehensive ecosystem integrating energy replenishment, services, and digital intelligence for sustainable logistics.

Under the partnership, the two companies will jointly develop redundant chassis-by-wire system and fully redundant autonomous vehicles that meet L4 requirements, forming a standardized product system for KargoBot.ai's autonomous truck fleets in standard operations.

The cooperation will also leverage regional policy resources to promote cross-regional regulatory alignment. KargoBot.ai's autonomous truck fleets will be integrated with SuperPanther's charging and battery-swapping network in Northwest China, supporting greener freight capacity and intelligent energy replenishment.

Up to now, KargoBot.ai has already achieved normalized unmanned operations in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, securing China's first license for commercial platooning without drivers. Its L4 technology now supports operations in more than 10 provinces, serving over 20 customers nationwide.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
