SMM Sep. 5 news:

This week, as the SCO summit and military parade concluded, scrap recycling operations in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region gradually returned to normal. Scrap battery arrivals at smelters in North China are expected to rebound. Currently, mainstream delivery-to-factory prices for e-bike lead-acid battery scrap with tax at smelters remain stable in the range of 10,000-10,150 yuan/mt. However, given the ongoing expansion of production cuts and shutdowns, there remains a risk of further price declines for scrap batteries. Domestic supply of secondary crude lead shows no significant loosening, but due to weak downstream demand, the supply-demand imbalance has not intensified. Current tax-excluded delivery-to-factory prices hover around 15,700 yuan/mt.
