SMM September 5: According to market sources, Nandan County South Nonferrous Metals Co., Ltd. successfully concluded a tender yesterday, selling approximately 66 mt of cadmium ingots and 3,000 kg of indium ingots. Market sources indicated the final transaction price for cadmium ingots exceeded 30,000 yuan/mt, while indium ingots traded above 2,500 yuan/mt. Many market participants noted the cadmium market is gradually emerging from the off-season, with end-use demand becoming relatively active. Market forces including end-users, traders, and speculators have begun taking action, leading to strong recent transaction performance. However, industry chain players remain cautious about the sustainability of demand as the peak season approaches in September and October, though short-term confidence remains generally solid. The indium market showed mediocre performance, with stable transaction prices and limited influence from both bullish and bearish factors.
