It marks a new alliance that brings together autonomous driving technology, logistics, and public transport operations.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On September 3, MINIEYE announced a strategic partnership with China Post's Shenzhen branch and Shenzhen Eastern Bus Co., Ltd., marking a new alliance that brings together autonomous driving technology, logistics, and public transport operations.

The three parties emphasized their complementary strengths, noting that the partnership builds on a solid foundation of cooperation, with wide application prospects and significant potential for growth.

Rather than a short-term or single-focus collaboration, the agreement outlines a systemic plan centered on two core areas of public service—logistics and public transit. Under the framework, MINIEYE will supply the autonomous driving technology and products, China Post's Shenzhen branch will provide operational support for deployment, and Shenzhen Eastern Bus will contribute its driverless vehicle platform. Together, they aim to improve the efficiency of public resource utilization.

All three parties agreed to leverage their core resources and channels as the foundation for cooperation, using business synergy as the link. The goal is to identify new points of integration across industries and establish a long-term, stable partnership that delivers mutual benefit.

The cooperation will advance in four main directions: integrating autonomous logistics vehicles into bus operations, making multi-purpose use of bus depots, expanding services across different application scenarios, and innovating around workforce coordination. The initiative is intended to break down traditional industry silos while simultaneously boosting logistics efficiency and optimizing the use of public assets.

MINIEYE brings to the table years of development across the full spectrum of L1–L4 autonomous driving technologies, along with experience in mass production for OEM customers. The company aims to apply this expertise to create an AI-powered urban delivery model that is smarter, safer, and more efficient.

The partnership is expected to pioneer a new model of integrating urban logistics with public transportation networks. By reusing bus system resources for autonomous logistics vehicles, the three parties aim to cut redundant costs in warehousing and transportation while providing scalable, cost-efficient solutions for unmanned urban delivery. The collaboration will serve as a pilot project for "logistics plus transit" integration at the city level, offering a replicable blueprint for reducing costs and improving efficiency across the broader industry.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
