Beijing (Gasgoo)- At the 4th China Automotive Chip Conference, Chinese automotive chip developer SiEngine Technology Co., Ltd. ("SiEngine") entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with iSOFT Infrastructure Software Co., Ltd. ("iSOFT").

The two parties will focus on smart cockpit and intelligent driving domains. By jointly building a multi-dimensional R&D system covering chips, operating systems, and applications, they plan to foster collaborative innovation in functional safety certification, middleware development, and cross-domain integration solutions.

As a maker of  high-performance automotive-grade and industrial chips, SiEngine will provide its in-house developed chips as the computing foundation, while iSOFT will offer customized vehicle control operating systems and development environments. The collaboration is expected to achieve a deep decoupling of hardware computing power and software functions.

SiEngine has already realized mass production and application of its 7nm automotive-grade intelligent cockpit chip, SE1000. In recent weeks, the chip has been featured in two newly launched flagship models, the Volvo XC70 and the Hongqi Tiangong 06.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
