AVATR reported sales of 10,565 vehicles in August, representing a 185% year-on-year soar.

Beijing (Gasgoo) – On September 1, AVATR, the premium new energy vehicle (NEV) brand backed by Changan Automobile and CATL, reported sales of 10,565 vehicles in August, representing a 185% year-on-year soar and marking the sixth consecutive month with deliveries surpassing 10,000 units.

The AVATR 07, the brand's mainstay model, has rolled out its 70,000th unit on August 7, underscoring strong market momentum.

Meanwhile, the AVATR 06 has undergone a significant product upgrade, with the launch of the all-new REEV (range-extended electric vehicle) Ultra versions equipped with CATL's 5C high-performance battery. The new model is priced at 269,900 yuan, with a promotional price of 254,900 yuan.

Launched less than four months ago, the AVATR 06 has already achieved cumulative deliveries of over 20,000 units. With this upgrade, it adopts Huawei's QianKun ADS 4 advanced driver-assistance system and the HarmonySpace 5 cockpit system. Consumers can also opt for the CATL Freevoy Super Hybrid Battery 45.06 kWh 5C pack.

The introduction of the all-new REEV Ultra versions makes the AVATR 06 a dual-5C fast-charging sedan. In addition, refreshed versions of the AVATR 07 and AVATR 12 are scheduled to debut in September and October, respectively, with upgraded technologies and enhanced driving experiences to further fuel sales growth.

On August 7, the 70,000th AVATR 07 rolled off the production line at the company's intelligent manufacturing facility. As the first model mass-produced at the plant, the AVATR 07 benefits from advanced manufacturing processes emphasizing automation, efficiency, and top-tier quality, ensuring exceptional body strength and reliability. On August 29, the model received a five-star safety rating from C-NCAP, achieving a comprehensive score of 90.2%.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
