[SMM New Energy News Flash] Manheim Australia, in partnership with Europe-based Aviloo Automotive, has introduced battery state-of-health (SoH) testing for all used EVs sold at its auctions to address buyer concerns and improve resale confidence. The service provides sellers with a certified battery health report that dealers can use when reselling vehicles, boosting transparency and trust. Research shows EVs with SoH certificates attract more bids, higher prices, and faster sales, with buyers willing to pay €550–1100 extra for certified vehicles. Initially rolled out in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, the program will expand across Australia and New Zealand. Both Manheim and Aviloo believe this initiative will strengthen residual values and accelerate the growth of the second-hand EV market.
