India to Build New Intergrated Steel Plant

The Bajaj Group and Sumitomo Corporation joint venture, Mukand Sumi Special Steel Limited (MSSSL) announced it will invest 23.45 billion Indian rupees ($266 million) to build an integrated steel plant in Kanakapura, Koppal district, Karnataka. The project aims to increase the company's annual production capacity from the current 350,000 tons to 700,000 tons and is expected to begin operations in early 2028.
