Geely Automobile sees YTD auto sales surge 47% YoY by Aug. 2025

In August 2025, Geely Automobile Holdings Limited (Geely Automobile) recorded a sales volume of 250,167 vehicles, representing a year-on-year jump of 38%, according to the automaker's announcement.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- In August 2025, Geely Automobile Holdings Limited ("Geely Automobile") recorded a sales volume of 250,167 vehicles, representing a year-on-year jump of 38%, according to the automaker's announcement.

Of the vehicles sold last month, 147,347 units were contributed by new energy vehicles (NEVs), displaying a 95.2% spike over a year earlier.

Breaking down the Aug. NEV sales by powertrain solutions, sales of batter electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) amounted to 93,362 units and 53,985 units, soaring 98.47% and 89.81% over a year earlier.

Besides, Geely Automobile posted an export volume of 36,077 vehicles for the month of August, showing a 22% year-on-year decline.

As for the August performance by specific brand or product range, Geely brand's flagship "Star" series logged vehicle sales of 94,658 units. Galaxy brand saw its sales zoom up 173% year over year to 110,666 units. In addition, there were 17,626 vehicles sold under the Zeekr brand, while Lynk & Co logged a sales volume of 27,217 units.

For the first eight months of 2025, the automaker sold a total of 1,897,064 vehicles, representing a year-on-year leap of 47%. Of those, NEVs contributed 1,002,622 units (+120.49% YoY), including 694,208 BEVs (+162.02% YoY) and 308,414 PHEVs (+62.52% YoY).
