Urban mining companies are moving towards the recycling business for power batteries!

[SMM New Energy News Flash] Urban Mining Company and Shenzhen Qiantai Technology Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement in the Shenzhen-Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone to jointly develop new energy vehicle (NEV) recycling and dismantling business. Prior to the signing, Qiantai representatives visited Urban Mining’s dismantling and scrap steel processing facilities, and both sides discussed future development, industry layout, and long-term planning. According to the agreement, the partnership will focus on recycling entire NEVs (including batteries) from rental, public transport, and ride-hailing fleets. Qiantai will deploy a professional team to support vehicle battery disposal and assist in applying for qualifications in energy storage and battery reuse. Moving forward, both sides will strengthen resource synergy, establish regular high-level meetings, and jointly promote NEV recycling in Northwest China to drive industrial upgrading and high-quality development.
