Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Leapmotor on Monday reported record monthly deliveries, with 57,066 vehicles handed over to customers in August 2025—a surge of more than 88% year-on-year.

Founder, Chairman and CEO Zhu Jiangming said in a sales update video that Leapmotor is ramping up its global expansion. He highlighted that exports this year have kept the brand among the leaders of China's NEV startups, with European orders recently hitting a record high.

The company confirmed it will return to the IAA MOBILITY this September, where it plans the global debut of the Leapmotor Lafa5, a new model designed with younger buyers' needs in mind.

At the Chengdu Motor Show 2025, Leapmotor celebrated the delivery of its 10,000th B01 sedan and unveiled a new "Morgan Pink" paint option for the B10 SUV. Since hitting the market in April, the Leapmotor B10 has become a key sales driver with its positioning as a "global intelligent long-range SUV," amassing more than 50,000 units of deliveries. The first batch of B10 units has already been shipped to Europe, with the model set to be displayed in Munich and rolled out to over 20 countries and regions by year's end.

Leapmotor's momentum in 2025 underscores its growing competitiveness in the crowded NEV sector.

The company reached a new milestone on August 20, announcing cumulative deliveries had surpassed 900,000 units. Just days earlier, Leapmotor reported its first-ever half-year net profit in its 2025 interim results, becoming only the second Chinese NEV startup to achieve sustained profitability over a six-month period.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
