Shazhen Town Kicks Off Graphite Anode Material Project for New Energy Industry

[SMM News] In recent years, Shazhen Town in Laizhou City has actively seized the development opportunities in the new energy industry, vigorously deploying a green and low-carbon industry chain. The annual 30,000 mt graphite anode material project by Shandong Xinzhong New Energy Materials Co., Ltd., located in the Yellow River Delta (Laizhou) Advanced Manufacturing Industrial Park in Shazhen Town, is a vivid practice of Laizhou City's efforts to promote industrial transformation and upgrading and cultivate new quality productive forces. The project focuses on key areas of new energy materials and core components of lithium batteries, aiming to establish a regional hub for anode material production and inject strong momentum into the city's high-quality development.

Invested and constructed by Shandong Xinzhong New Energy Materials Co., Ltd., the project has a total investment of 150 million yuan. It plans to build new offices, dormitories, warehouses, and production plants, along with two annual 20,000 mt spherical graphite purification production lines and one annual 10,000 mt high-carbon graphite purification production line, equipped with over 180 sets of main production equipment. The first phase of the project officially commenced construction in October 2023 and is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of 2025.
