On August 29, the industry's first zero-carbon ammonia-fueled aluminum billet heating furnace was unveiled in Foshan City, Guangdong Province. This equipment uses ammonia as fuel, achieving zero-carbon operation in the aluminum processing heating stage, and can replace traditional multi-billet furnaces fueled by natural gas. On the same day, Academician Cheng Yibing from the Xianhu Laboratory, serving as the chief scientist of the zero-carbon ammonia-fueled aluminum billet heating furnace research project, officially released this technology and equipment. It is reported that through reliable and stable combustion as well as thermal system optimization, the equipment delivers stable, efficient, and safe thermal output with zero carbon emissions during the combustion process.
