Four trims are being offered, with prices ranging from 68,800 yuan to 81,800 yuan.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On August 24, SAIC-GM-Wuling ("SGMW") officially began the presales of the Binguo S model. Four trims are being offered, with prices ranging from 68,800 yuan to 81,800 yuan.

Positioned as a small battery electric SUV, the Wuling Binguo S becomes the third member of the Binguo family and sits above the Binguo PLUS in the lineup. The new model is scheduled to hit the market by the third quarter this year. Customers who place an order now can also receive a purchase package valued at 18,000 yuan.

At the event, SGMW noted that the Binguo series had recorded sales of more than 550,000 units within just two years, and the company was aiming to push cumulative sales volume of the series toward the one-million-unit mark.

In terms of styling, the Wuling Binguo S features squared headlights with rounded edges, a closed-off front fascia, a trapezoidal lower intake, and vertically arranged side vents. The combination gives the SUV a contemporary yet understated appearance.

From the side, the Wuling Binguo S adopts a two-tone scheme with contrasting roof and body colors, accented by bold black wheel brows and semi-enclosed 16-inch aerodynamic wheels. Buyers will be able to choose from four exterior shades: Relaxed Grey, Easy Blue, Leisure Purple, and Clear White.

At the rear, the new SUV comes with a roof spoiler housing an integrated brake light, while the taillights stretch across the width of the vehicle and adopt a layered "hook" motif at both ends. A recessed license plate area and silver trim add further depth to the rear design.

Dimensionally, the Binguo S measures 4,265mm in length, 1,785mm in width, and 1,600mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,610mm.

Inside, the Binguo S greets occupants with a floating 12.8-inch central touchscreen that anchors the dashboard. The digital setup is complemented by an embedded 8.8-inch liquid crystal instrument cluster and a dual-tone, three-spoke multifunction steering wheel.

The wraparound cockpit layout uses a two-tone palette of Soft White and Warm Brown, enhanced with 3D wood-grain textures, generous soft-touch materials, and bright chrome detailing. A full-width trim piece frames the air vents, while the center console houses practical features such as a wireless charging pad, a phone slot, and dual cupholders.

Despite its compact footprint, the Binguo S offers generous practicality, with 25 storage compartments throughout the cabin, including integrated hooks and built-in door handle pockets. The trunk uses a recessed floor for added capacity, and folding down the rear seats expands cargo space to as much as 1,450 liters.

Power comes from a 75kW front-mounted motor, paired with either a 31.9kWh or 41.9kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack. Depending on the configuration, the Binguo S delivers a CLTC battery-powered range of 325km or 430km respectively.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
