ArcelorMittal held the inauguration ceremony for a new beneficiation plant with an annual production capacity of 20 million mt in Nimba County, Liberia.

This project serves as the centerpiece of the second phase of ArcelorMittal's large-scale investment plan, with a total investment of $1.8 billion, bringing its cumulative investment in the country to over $3 billion.

The new facility ranks among Africa's largest iron ore beneficiation plants. It will increase annual production from 5 million mt to 20 million mt while significantly enhancing product quality, particularly through the production of higher-grade iron ore.
