The European Commission (EC) has announced the final results of its anti-dumping investigation into hot-rolled coil (HRC) imports from Egypt, Japan, and Vietnam.
The duty rate for Ezz Steel and all other Egyptian companies was reduced to 11.7% (previously 12.8% for this manufacturer, effective from April 7, 2025). Initially, the EC proposed a 15.6% tariff for Ezz, but the decision was modified after appeals.
The final anti-dumping margins were set at 30.4% for Japan's Nippon Steel, 6.9% for Tokyo Steel, and 30.1% for all other Japanese exporters. For Vietnam's Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Corporation and all other Vietnamese companies, the anti-dumping duty will be 12.1%.
