Turkey's Hascelik Company announced the successful trial production of quenched and tempered steel grades 42CrMo4 and 41Cr4 using vacuum-sealed casting technology at its new-generation steel plant. The company stated that this milestone demonstrates its advanced manufacturing capabilities in producing high-quality steel. By combining vacuum and sealed casting technologies, the hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen content in alloy steel was reduced, thereby improving internal homogeneity, enhancing machinability, and yielding high-performance end products. Hascelik noted that these technologies provide critical advantages for industrial customers requiring high strength, fatigue resistance, and machinability. Sectors such as automotive, machinery manufacturing, aerospace, and energy are expected to benefit from the more reliable and predictable performance of these steel products.
